Richard G. Jacobus Family Foundation
 

Richard Jacobus was honored by MSOE in 1997 for his extensive business and civic contributions to the Milwaukee area community. In addition to leading Jacobus Wealth Management Inc., Jacobus serves as MSOE Regent, having formerly been chairman of the university's Board of Regents. He also serves as director for Mosinee Paper Co., Mutual Group (US), United Performing Arts Fund, and University of Wisconsin Foundation; president of Richard G. Jacobus Family Foundation; and managing partner of JACO Co. and PJH Co.

Until 1995, Jacobus was president and CEO of Johnson International Inc. Other previous business associations include vice chairman of Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. and Marshall & Ilsley Corp., and president founder of Newton Funds and Heritage Wisconsin Corp.

Jacobus' past civic involvements are extensive. He has served as chairman of the Credit Bureau of Milwaukee, Channel 10 TV Auction, St. Luke's Hospital Space Program; director of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, St. Luke's Hospital, Urban Day School, Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Good Samaritan Hospital, Milwaukee Association of Commerce; and president of Summerfest '73, Downtown Association, and University Club of Milwaukee.

Jacobus previously has been honored as Distinguished Business Alumnus by the University of Wisconsin--Madison, from which he received his undergraduate finance degree and MBA. He also was honored as Marketing Man of the Year by Harvard School of Business Milwaukee Alumni Club.
